Terms of service

What you're subscribing to, what we commit to, and the limits of both.

Last updated: 19 August 2026

This is a draft, not a binding policy. The text below is placeholder copy written to show the structure of this document. It has not been reviewed by counsel and does not yet state ōmyā jīvātu's actual legal commitments. Final copy will replace it before launch.

1. The service

A subscription to ōmyā jīvātu provides pre-paid emergency medical response within our published service area: dispatch of an ambulance staffed by a trained Emergency Healthcare Professional, transport to a hospital in our network, and notification of that hospital before arrival.

2. What is not included

This is an emergency response service, not health insurance. Hospital treatment, admission, procedures and any care following handover to the hospital are between you and that hospital, and are not covered by your subscription. Non-emergency or scheduled transport is not included.

3. Service area and availability

Dispatch is available only within our published service area, currently Thane and Powai, Mumbai. Response times are targets, not guarantees, and depend on ambulance availability, road conditions and the accuracy of the location provided. Where we are unable to dispatch, we will assist you via the government 108 service and remain in contact.

4. Your responsibilities

Keep your health profile accurate and current — the attending EHP relies on it. Use the SOS function for genuine emergencies. Repeated deliberate misuse may result in suspension of the account.

5. Subscription, renewal and cancellation

Plans run for twelve months from the date of payment. Cover begins immediately, with no waiting period. Auto-renewal is optional and may be cancelled at any time. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.

6. Charges and tax

Prices are stated exclusive of GST, which is applied at the prevailing rate. A tax invoice is issued for every payment.

7. Limitation of liability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, and our clinical protocols are medically reviewed. We do not warrant a specific medical outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction.
